Does what it is supposed to do and even looks great. Nice and easy interface with color indicators to pick the best time. I also like the email function.
What a terrific program. Ive tried a couple others and was fortunate to find this one. The best so far. Look forward to seeing how this great intuitive little program develops.
Very useful for frequent intl callers and communicators. It would be even better to have real earth-like fancy view as an optional view for astro fans.
Noting some of the negative comments I think many are missing the key features. The ability to scroll through time zones to pick the right time for conference calls across all cities is the key. Difficult to see when you cant download a demo so my suggestion if you have a Mac is to try the free widget which has the same features. Finding the best time for a conference call across many time zones has never been easier and this cannot be done with the built in clock application.
..besides the phone and iPod feature. Besides being really easy to use and super-functional, the practical aspects must be misunderstood by the guy that said just use a clock... I am frequently organizing conference calls on 4 continents, in 6 time zones, some that are on the 1/2 hour, and this is an invaluable tool for that. More simply, when I get ready to call somebody in Adelaide, AUS, when I am in Copenhagen, DK, it just great to double check the hour there!
As someone who facilitates conference calls across three continents, this app is a life saver! I can customize the list of cities to quickly find the best time to a call. Again, its not the same functionality as "Clock". This app allows you to set business rules to help find the best time to set up international conference calls. It suggests the times and presents the time in a logical way. I understand it appears the same as Clock, but it isnt. I wish users would use the app before rating it. If you dont use it, dont rate it. This is a critical app for those who work with people across the globe. Great job!
As a frequent flyer(250,000miles last year), this is an indispensable little tool. Fantastic for arranging teleconferences with overseas people and just to know what the time is in different locations. The widget on the desktop is also great and I am never lost or unaware of the time around the cities that I travel to.
I travel internationally for my job and use TimeScroller to coordinate meetings & schedules with other time zones. Our company uses UTC to keep everyone on-time, but traveling through multiple cities and time zones can be very confusing causing expensive mix-ups. Since I started using TimeScroller I have reduced my stress over schedules tremendously, I HIGHLY recommend this product.
I have been using the Time Scroller widget for months and am excited to finally have it for my iPhone. Works just like the widget so go get it too so you never miss an important event.
Indispensable for coordinating meetings with colleagues around the world
Easy and quick - great when youre trying to find a common meeting time while on the phone. Appreciate the option to scroll in 15-minute increments. The email function is very helpful. Its also nice-looking, which is very important to me. The only other feature Id love to have is the ability to upload an appointment to Google Calendar.
One major omission for me, does not show country. I dont recall where some cities are, I deal with too many countries/territories to remember all. Also, blue background with white time font is washed out and difficult to see. And Pago Pago in American Samoa isnt in there so not all places I need either.
Love it! My only regret is that it only does time on the hour
Love this app, love to see one for iPad
Have used this app on the Mac (as a dashboard widget) to schedule meetings worldwide, and both it and the iPhone version always impress colleagues with its ease and simplicity. My only wish is that it would be updated to universal - after all, Im often using my phone to schedule a meeting, so would love an iPad app to help me with it.
I just screwed up two meetings by relying on this app. I have screen shots with los angeles and Tokyo are 12 hours different, unfortunately they are really 16 hours different. My meetings had different errors - cant trust it.
This app nails it. The Excel spreadsheet I wrote does not integrate with my iPhone calendar -- this does. The sliding scale allows me to pinpoint the best time to make that call. Once I figure out the best time I just save it to my events calendar. God that is easy. Usually I am crossing from one day to the "previous" -- puts my head in a spin such that in the past I needed more proof before placing my call -- not anymore. Lets face it normally you can make the time zone adjustment in your head. Where I need help is when two merging time zones cross the Pacific. Color coding is functionally quite clever to show where you are according to your preference setting. Isnt it true, a phone call made just five minutes late has amazing consequences? Thank you for figuring it out. Every promise you made is true.
A nice, simple, and elegant way to handle time across time zones. It seems to get the time calculations right, in the limited testing Ive done. Very handy for quickly figuring out time differences in the near future (or near past). It would be very nice to include a calendar date-picker. If I needed to schedule a meeting for a day 4 weeks from now, it would be much more expedient to select that day/date from an actual calendar view, rather than tap the "next day" button 28 times. If I needed to schedule a meeting for "two weeks from Thursday", Id need to open my calendar first to get the date, then come back to this and fast-forward a lot...
I love how it lets you configure your favorite cities then check those you want to schedule. It even color codes "goodness" of a timezone selection for each city so you can see goodness at a glance as you slide. It even allows you to configure rules governing "goodness". Bonus points for following iOS style guidelines and not making it look goofy.
